Chess-in-the-Schools is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization dedicated to stimulating and enhancing learning skills by teaching chess to kindergarten through eighth grade children in New York's inner-city public schools, in after-school programs, tournament competitions, and College Bound programs for high school students.

Through our mission, Chess-in-the-Schools develops critical thinking skills, builds self-esteem, teaches discipline, fosters positive social skills, motivates academic achievement, and empowers children to succeed.
